Approaching Mother's Day

As I think about the approaching Mother's Day holiday, I think it is sad that there are Moms out there that are only really celebrated once a year. I try to tell my own Mom as often as I can Thank You. My Mom does so much for me, and for Tanner and Larry, and really for anyone around her. She has a huge heart, is amazing and I am so thankful she is my Mom.

As a Mom myself, I don't need a present or a cake or any real celebration, I would just like some acknowledgement. Is that too much to ask? I would like my 2 year old to spontaneously tell me thank you or pick up his own toys without enciting a riot. I would like my husband to help said two year old put his/their dirty clothes in the laundry basket and dirty dishes in the sink. I would like the floor to be clean, especially in all major walkways in our house. I would like to have 5 minutes in the bathroom by myself without someone in there with me, trying to come in or banging on the door to get in there with me. Oh the joys of my life and as I've said before, oh the joys of Motherhood.

Honestly, I am so blessed, I wouldn't change a thing.

To you Mothers/Moms/Mommies/Mommas out there, Happy Mother's Day every day of the year - you deserve it!
